1971 Bertram 31, Gas to Diesel Conversion
Al Grover's repower team took this Bertram gas powered (twin 454 merc) classic and raised the bar for performance and range. The 31 Bertram is one of the most sort after offshore fishing boats and with the brand new Yanmar 315hp diesels she now cruises at 30 knots at 18 gph and 34 knots WOT.
1989 Blackwatch 30 Express, Diesel to Diesel Conversion
This proven offshore deep V hull of the Blackwatch 30 under went the removal of a Cummins 6BTA 250HP diesel and replaced with a pair of Yanmar LP 315 diesels. Major reduction in noise, smoke and increase in fuel economy was the owners objective. New cruise speed is 29 knots and a WOT of 33 knots.
2000 Searay 38, Gas to Diesel Conversion
This modern high performance Searay was converted from Mercruiser 7.4 MPI's to Yanmar 370 hp diesels. New cruise speeds are from 21 knots to 28 knots and a fuel burn of 23 gph to 28 gph respectively. This repower greatly increased range and fuel efficiency.
