The most spacious and comfortable 37’ yacht on the water, Carver’s C37 Coupe is designed for the adventurous who refuse to sacrifice a thing. Expect superior style, comfort, performance, dependability and value. This yacht’s power package delivers a smooth, stable ride with top-end speeds approaching 40 mph. A unique hull shape and 13-foot-wide beam create an incredibly roomy interior: 6’5” headroom in the two staterooms; 6’8” in the salon.

An additional interior layout design advantage? The cockpit, helm, salon and galley are all situated on one convenient level. Plus, the C37 has the most storage space you’ll find in any yacht of this size. “Carver comfort” reaches new levels in the C37: a home-like stall shower, two private staterooms, an ultra-comfortable cockpit and other numerous practical amenities. If that all weren’t impressive enough, the value-driven price point of the C37 once again proves that Carver gives you more yacht for less money.

Boating Magazine, by Pete McDonald, October 1, 2014

The Carver C37 Coupe stands out as unique in the realm of coupe cruisers for two reasons. First, whereas most coupes in this range have some version of a vented hardtop or a covered bridge deck that’s fully open aft, the C37 Coupe offers a fully enclosed cabin, complete with glass doors between the salon and cockpit. Second, in contrast with most of the boats in this class with slim V-hulls that taper to a point toward the stem, the C37 opts for a plumb bow design that carries the beam farther forward in a more rounded fashion. The result is a wider foredeck and more living space in the forward cabin below.

The plumb bow design allows Carver to design the C37 with a large master stateroom with 6 feet 5 inches of headroom and a queen bed set lower down into the bow so that it’s easier to get in and out of, compared to boats with more tapered bows. To port there’s a full head with a separate shower stall and a bench seat, which is a fantastic use of space on a 37-foot boat. A midship stateroom to starboard can be outfitted with twins or a queen. The salon upstairs can convert to beds, providing sleeping space for six on board.

All of these amenities help the C37 meet and exceed its mission statement: to provide day-boaters who prefer gasoline sterndrives an upgrade to a weekender-style boat that offers a little more than the typical express cruiser. As competitors in this category offer pod-drive propulsion with joystick controls, Carver offers the option for the Axius sterndrive joystick system. Our test boat had it, which made inching in and out of our extremely tight slip at the marina a stress-free affair.

Once underway, the C37 Coupe touched speeds just under 40 mph while showing the agile handling afforded by the twin counter-rotating dual propsets. While some may view the wide beam as a performance detriment, the plumb bow puts more of the hull in contact with the water, and it held its own in manufactured head and quartering seas. Plus, with the raked windshield, broken sheer line, extended hardtop and stylish windows, it looks pretty up on plane — and with a look all its own. Review, Sandy Lindsey, May 17, 2014

Carver C37 Coupe: Luxury, Dependability, and Performance

The new Carver C37 Coupe is a roomy pocket yacht that’s ready for adventure.

By Sandy Lindsey May 17, 2014

Carver has been on a roll lately, introducing new boats like the C34 Command Bridge, and the C40. Now they've bridged the gap between the two, with the C37.

The Carver C37 Coupe is a yacht that turns heads whether alongside the dock or carving a wake. It exudes the flair of a European yacht, with a unique bow entry that smoothly flows aft, accentuated by large windows, while the two-tone livery gives it a "coachwork" appearance more commonly associated with the elegant, hand-crafted limousines of the 1920s.

If the Carver C34 is too small and the C40 is too big, the C37 may prove perfect.

Powered by twin 320 HP Mercruiser 377 Magnum Bravo Three SeaCore stern drive gasoline engines, the C37 topped out at 40.2 mph at wide open throttle while consuming 51.7 GPH. Throttling back to 4000 rpm achieved a brisk 29.8 MPH while reducing fuel consumption to 29.45 GPH. Motoring along at a leisurely 9.4 MPH at 2000 rpm, the C37 sipped a frugal 8.5 GPH—leaving plenty of the fuel budget available for drinks and hors d'ouvres to be served aboard during cocktail hour cruises. Those who prefer diesel will be very happy with the twin Volvo D4 Duo Prop 300 HP stern drive option.

Once you’ve reached your destination, you’ll find that the oversized, non-slip swim platform provides plenty of room for dangling toes in the water while at anchor, with easy access a few steps up to the cockpit where the L-shaped lounge and teak dining table await. The roofline extends aft to provide protection against the sun while retaining an open-air atmosphere. Floor-to ceiling glass doors provide a view of the salon inside, and can be opened to combine the two areas into one oversized social and dining section.

The open layout flows seamlessly to the guest seating/lounge/dining area, which features U-shaped dinette with ample room for a dozen or so guests. Opposite is the galley, equipped with stainless-steel appliances and solid-surface countertops. The oversized windows and fully-opening doors bring the outside in to make the salon and the aft cockpit one huge comfort zone, adding to the feeling that this yacht is a cocoon of comfort on the open water.

Overhead, yet more breezes enter the C37 Coupe via a sunroof that slides back.
Down below, the midships guest stateroom features an impressive 6' 5" of headroom and a 12" opening port with a screen to bring in sunlight—or moonlight—for an airy atmosphere that invites sleeping in late. Twin berths quickly convert to a queen, while the hanging locker accommodates your guest’s belongings. The C37 can also accomodate additional guests in the salon, where the dinette converts into a double berth.

The master stateroom, set all the way forward for maximum privacy, is dominated by the oversized island berth. Look past it, and you’ll discover lush wall coverings, an expansive overhead translucent deck hatch that provides natural illumination during daylight hours, twin hanging lockers, and an expanse of shelves to hold all the clothing and personal effects needed for an extended cruise.

Specifications Length 37'8" Beam 13'0" Draft 3'8" Deadrise NA Displacement 18,500 lbs Fuel capacity 250 gal. Water capacity 90 gal.

We’ve seen Carver plying new waters with innovative models and new hulls for the past few years, and the C37 Coupe is a welcome continuation of this trend. Overall, it’s ideal for island-hopping, coastal cruising, or daytrip adventures—with all the flair of European yet classic styling.

Other Choices: Those looking for a slightly smaller comparison to the C37 may want to see the Regal 35 Sport Coupe. If you want to go larger, check out the Tiara Coronet 3900. And for a real change of pace, consider the outboard-powered Sea Ray 370 Venture or the Pursuit SC 365i.

Review by Tom George Group, Sept. 22, 2017

Carver Yachts has gone through what can only be described as a renaissance in recent years. Every model in their line-up has been redesigned to respond to the styling, comfort, and performance demands of today’s sophisticated boater. Offering a range of 34’ to 52’ models in both express style coupe and command flybridge designs the C37 Coupe has the distinction of being the first addition in this new line meant to deliver on those high expectations.

The C37 style hints of trends one would expect from European designs, yet it’s all American. Carver has built boats at their factory in Pulaski, WI since 1954. Their formula for success is blending all those years of experience, listening to what boaters want and incorporating modern manufacturing methods and equipment to create the ideal yacht. Experienced craftsmen dedicate themselves to building world-class luxury cruisers that redefine what a cruising yacht should be.

The C37 has an uncanny retro feel with its axe bowline and high freeboard that carries well forward. This impressive look provides practical benefits as well. Carrying the 13’6” beam forward results in a spacious lower deck that’s unexpected in a cruiser of this class. The single head, two stateroom design features a large master stateroom with 6’5” headroom, a queen size bed, two hanging closets, 4 overhead cabinets with lots of natural light provided through the large windows and overhead hatch.

The second stateroom can be configured either as two twin beds or by installing the filler cushion it converts to a full queen bed. A large hanging closet and storage cabinet offers ample space for guests and their gear with additional storage under the bunks.  An overhead etched glass skylight and large side window add natural light contributing to open felling of the space. Adding a flat screen TV and separate stereo system will provide your guest with all the comforts of home while aboard.

The C37 coupe head boasts a stall shower, beautiful sink, plenty of storage room and high-quality fixtures with plenty of lighting all features typically found in larger yachts. The large side window combined with an overhead etched skylight for privacy provides abundant natural lighting

On hot days and nights a dedicated lower deck air conditioning system will adjust the climate to your comfort level. On cooler days ports open in each room and the hatch in the master suite that open with screens letting the sea breeze circulate throughout. With abundant headroom, wide beam, and exceptional craftsmanship the lower deck on the C37 is impressive.

Heading up to the spacious main deck the helm, salon, and galley layout provides an inclusive flowing living area for you and your guests to interact in comfort and style. The carbon fiber retractable sun roof opens with a touch of the button adding to the open and airy feel when enjoying a nice day on the water.

The C37 helm offers all around visibility with its large windshield & side windows. It is well thought, out providing abundant space for the latest navigation equipment and system controls. The helm seat slides forward and back to easily adjust to your desired position and the flip up bolsters change position quickly allowing you to operate the boat sitting or standing as you desire.

An adjustable passenger seat is located opposite the helm with space for two. The inviting lounge area is stylish and practical providing clever ways to adjust the seating configurations for dining or cocktail hour. There is a huge amount of storage under the seats and below deck. The dining table can be lowered adding additional sleeping space for two with plush filler cushions. Positioning the galley in a central location offers easy access to both the salon and aft deck. With plenty of storage space and a recessed stove and sink the galley provides lots space with an elegant appearance.

A key feature of the C37 Coupe is the large glass folding doors open across the width of the boat to create a seamless transition between the aft deck and the salon. Salon seating is adjustable to change the focal point to the outdoors. An additional ice maker and refrigerator can be added helping make this area the main attraction for cocktail hour.

When it is time to close for the day simply close the doors and you’re done.  There’s no canvas, no isinglass to zip or snap, just beautiful and so effortless!

The aft cockpit retractable sun shade opens with the touch of a button providing shade over the entire cockpit while enhancing the connection with the salon area. The sturdy stainless-steel frame allows shade to be deployed while underway. The teak cockpit table is perfect for alfresco dining or can be lowered to create a large sun pad with plush cushions. There are large storage areas under all the seating for lines, fenders and other gear, again evidence of Carvers dedication to creating abundant storage.

The stainless-steel transom door provides access to the oversized swim platform. There you’ll find plenty of additional storage for your gear, freshwater shower, and shore power equipment.

Easy and safe access to the expansive bow features integrated fiberglass cockpit steps with plenty of sturdy stainless-steel hand rails to grab on to. The large stainless-steel bow rails combine with a wide non-skid deck to provide quick access.

Like all Carver Yachts the C37 is built tough utilizing “Infusion Technology” along with an extraordinary stringer system that reinforces the bow as much as the bottom. That means less weight, more strength, and better performance! Carver’s manufacturing operation is unique in the industry possessing in house capabilities for components usually left to sub-contractors. This horizontal integration insures the highest quality in the industry. Carver craftsman produce cabinetry, upholstery, and metal fabrication in on-site workshops where the boats are built.

The standard propulsion configuration offers twin gas Mercury 6.2 Bravo - 350 HP Sea Core stern drives. With a dry weight of just 18,000 lbs., 250 gallons of fuel the C37 has a top speed of 37 knots with a 238-mile range at a cruising speed of 25 knots. Also available are Mercury diesel stern drives and inboard gas or diesel. The images below show the C37 outfitted with twin Volvo D4 EVC 300 HP diesel inboard, a Kohler 9.0 KW, 60 HZ diesel generator. A stainless-steel ladder presents easy access to a spacious engine room. Service, inspections and maintenance tasks are optimized by placing all the through hull fittings, strainers, valves, filters, and switches centerline for easy access.

As the first offering in a new era for Carver the C37 Coupe has placed the company on squarely at the leading edge of modern yacht design. The C37 blends styling that is sure to turn heads on the water with the luxury, comfort, and practical performance demanded by today’s discerning yacht owners. Boat Review by: Richard Crowder

With the introduction of Carver Yacht’s newest flagship, the C50 Command Bridge at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, it brings to five the total number of models in its lineup for 2016 with two Coupe models; the C37 and C43, and three Command Bridges; the C34 and C40 along with this newest C50.

Throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s, Carver was renowned for its flybridge aft-cabin motor yacht designs from 32 to over 50 feet. But following changing consumer tastes, instead of the multi-levels and accompanying several stairways of these previous designs, all of Carver’s models now feature either level or almost-level cockpit-to-salon access with mid-cabin staterooms replacing aft-cabins. As Carver says about this C37 Coupe, “Once you open the salon’s dual doors, the helm, salon, and galley become part of one, single-level, indoor/outdoor living space for entertaining, relaxing, and simply enjoying life on the water.”

Room, roominess, and spaciousness are the operative words when describing all of Carver’s current models and the C37 Coupe, subject of this review, expresses this in spades. From its wide-body 13-foot beam to its 6’8” headroom in the salon and 6’5” headroom in its master stateroom plus electric opening sliding glass sunroof with shade, opening side windows in the salon plus the fully opening glass doors between the salon and cockpit, the openness and roominess generate feelings of relaxation, flexibility and comfort.

Flexibility also applies to your choice of power for the C37 Coupe. Standard power comes from a pair of 320 hp Mercruiser 377 Magnum gasoline sterndrive engines with Bravo 3 outdrives and DTS (Digital Throttle and Shift) controls. Optionally available are five choices of gasoline or diesel, Volvo or Mercruiser, V-drive inboard, or sterndrive power and with or without joystick control. An unusually wide range of six choices of optional generators in various capacities of gasoline or diesel from Westerbeke or Kohler are also available.

Molded-in steps provide easier access to the cockpit on both sides from the dock or from the wide side-deck walk-around to the bow. The starboard side transom door with molded-in steps provides cockpit access from the low-to-the-water large molded swim platform with under-mount swim ladder. A large L-shaped lounge to port with a single cum double seat to starboard, both with high padded backrests provide ample cockpit seating and lounging. A large transom storage locker plus an in-floor cockpit storage box will handle your external storage needs.

The salon features the full galley to starboard, a six-seater U-shaped convertible dinette to port with built-in storage, and 360-degree surrounding visibility. Carpeted flooring is standard as is an entertainment centre complete with a 32-inch LCD TV with Blu-Ray DVD player. The galley boasts a large counter-height refrigerator/freezer, built-in convection microwave oven, two-burner Ceran® electric cook top, stainless steel sink with designer faucet, slide-out trash container, four drawers, four cabinets, plus two storage areas built in to the standard vinyl plank flooring. The aft section of the dinette cushion backrest converts to allow additional cockpit seating when the salon glass doors are open.

Ahead of the galley are twin helm chairs with fixed padded armrests; the driver’s chair being adjustable. Gone are analog engine gauges replaced with digital LCD displays showing all engine functions plus fuel tank levels and rudder angle indicators. Hydraulic steering is standard as are trim tabs, a bow rail mounted remote control spotlight and an automatic engine room fire suppression system. Lots of spare dash space will accommodate your choice of flush mounted navigation electronics.

The convex upper bow design of the C37 Coupe’s hull adds even more spaciousness to the unusual and welcome extra headroom of the master stateroom with its queen size island bed with high-density foam mattress. Six overhead LED lights plus two reading lights are provided along with two hanging lockers, port and starboard overhead storage compartments plus a mirror.

The portside head provides a separate enclosed shower with Plexiglas® door, vanity with storage and vessel sink, electric toilet, mirror, exhaust fan, and opening portlight. The mid-cabin guest stateroom offers twin berths that convert into a queen with the filler cushion, a full-height hanging locker, locking entry door, plus an opening portlight.

The extensive Carver optional equipment list will allow you to personalize your C37 Coupe precisely to your boating and personal lifestyle requirements. In addition to the wide engine and generator choices mentioned earlier, choose bow and stern thrusters, water and waste monitors, a navigation electronics package, radar mast, ground tackle including an electric windlass, fresh and/or raw water transom wash-downs, transom shower, cockpit table, carpet, refrigerator or ice maker, seat covers, or sun shade, plus a salon door screen, salon blinds, foredeck sunpad, and master stateroom TV/DVD.

Carver describes its C37 Coupe “Where on-water comfort meets cruising thrills, with a little extra flair.”
